Cookie policy
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) while browsing. They enable the site to function properly, remember preferences and, where the user consents, obtain statistical information about its use.
In this policy, the term "cookies" is used broadly and also includes other similar technologies that allow information to be stored and retrieved on the device, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), pixels or web beacons. On this Website, the user's consent preference is in fact stored using the browser's local storage, and not as an HTTP cookie (see section 3).
2. Who is the data controller?
The controller of the data arising from the use of cookies is:
- Company: PCP LAUNDRY, S.L.
- Tax ID (NIF): B-21947916
- Registered office: Calle Don Ramón de la Cruz 17, piso 3, puerta derecha, 28001 Madrid (Spain).
- Domain: by-velum.com
3. Which cookies does this website use?
The Website is static and trilingual (Spanish, English and Portuguese). It only uses necessary technical cookies and technologies and, subject to the user's consent, analytics cookies. No marketing or behavioural advertising cookies are used.
3.1. Technical cookies and storage (necessary — no consent required)
These are essential for the operation of the Website and for storing the user's decision regarding cookies. They are used regardless of consent, in accordance with article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE.
3.2. Analytics cookies (consent required)
These make it possible to measure the use of the Website on an aggregated and statistical basis (pages visited, language, device) in order to improve it. Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., is used with the IP address anonymised and under Google Consent Mode v2. These cookies are only installed and only loaded if the user accepts the analytics category.
| Cookie | Owner / Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| velum_cookie_consent_v2 | First party (by-velum.com) | Stores the user's cookie consent preference (this is localStorage, not an HTTP cookie) | ~12 months | Technical / Necessary |
| Language preference | First party (by-velum.com) | Remembers the selected language (ES/EN/PT), where applicable | Session / persistent | Technical / Necessary |
| _ga | Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes users on an aggregated basis for statistical measurement | 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_CTES2DEV33 | Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4) | Maintains the container's measurement session state | 2 years | Analytics |
The Google Analytics 4 container identifier (_ga_CTES2DEV33) must be replaced with the real value once confirmed in the technical audit.
4. Legal basis
- Technical or necessary cookies: legitimate interest in the proper functioning of the Website and the exception in article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, which does not require consent for strictly necessary cookies.
- Analytics cookies: the user's consent, in accordance with article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This consent is freely given, informed, specific and unambiguous, and may be withdrawn at any time.
5. Consent mechanism
When first accessing the Website, a cookie banner appears with three options presented with equal availability and prominence: "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Configure".
- The "Configure" option opens a preferences panel organised by category, with a toggle for analytics cookies. Necessary cookies are always active and cannot be disabled.
- By default no analytics cookie is installed: thanks to Google Consent Mode v2, all non-necessary categories remain denied until the user accepts them. Google Analytics 4 is only loaded if the user consents to the analytics category.
- The user's preference is stored in the browser's local storage under the key
velum_cookie_consent_v2.
6. International data transfers
If the user consents to analytics cookies, Google may process certain data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in particular in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, on a supplementary basis, by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission, together with any applicable additional safeguards. You can find further information in Google's privacy policy.
7. Managing and withdrawing consent
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it:
- From the Website: via the "Cookie settings" link available in the footer, which reopens the preferences panel.
- From your browser: you can allow, block or delete the cookies installed on your device through your browser settings:
8. Consent retention period
The consent preference is retained for a maximum of 12 months. After that period, the Website will ask for the user's consent again. The user may revoke it sooner at any time through the means indicated in section 7.
9. Consequences of rejecting cookies
Rejecting analytics cookies does not affect the operation of the Website, which will remain fully available and functional. The only consequence is that no aggregated statistical information about your browsing will be collected.
10. More information
For more details on the processing of personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
11. Updates
This Cookie Policy may be updated to adapt it to regulatory or technical changes. Last updated: June 2026.
